Hand-signed original
likely by Roger Limouse (1894–1989)
He was a prominent figure of the École de Paris and a co-founder of the Réalité Poétique group.
Fine Art from 1966
Unfortunately, I was unable to identify the artist. Possibly Limouse.
Black and white drawing, presumably ink, a romantic portrait of a young woman.
It reminds me of drawings by Marc Chagall—who is definitely not the artist of this piece.
Nevertheless, a particularly beautiful work of art from its era.
The picture has been professionally framed. The back is fully covered. The painting is mounted in a beveled passe-partout. It is an heirloom.
