A mid-century coffee table produced by the Drevopodnik Holesov Factory in 1962. Despite being produced in former Czechoslovakia, this table was clearly influenced by the soft organic shapes typical of Scandinavian furniture design.
The table has been designed with careful attention to detail, and its slender design celebrates both material and form. The softly curved oval tabletop is made of honey-colored brown patterned oak. The slightly angled and tapered legs pass through the lower storage shelf that sits beneath the tabletop, making it appear as though the oval shelf is suspended, effortlessly held by the table's four legs.
This coffee table is in great vintage condition with only minimal wear acquired over the years. The tabletop, legs, and lower shelf have all been cleaned and re-polished to their near-original condition.
