The body of the ice bucket is clad in decorative burl wood veneer with a glossy finish, while the details are made of chrome-plated metal. The flat handle is connected to the lid by a linkage rod with ball-joint fittings: lifting the handle automatically opens the lid. Inside is a fixed, non-removable insulated liner. Sophisticated bar accessories of this kind were produced during this period by leading Italian manufacturers, including Macabo, a company that also collaborated with Aldo Tura. Height: 20 cm / 7.9 in Height with handle raised: 31 cm / 12.2 in Diameter: 17 cm / 6.7 in Excellent vintage condition. A distinctive and relatively rare example of Italian Mid-Century Modern design, combining a luxurious decorative finish with an unusual mechanical construction.
