The G Plan story began in 1898 with the founding of the E. Gomme furniture company. After World War II, the company set out to produce modern, stylish, and affordable furniture, launching the G Plan brand.
G Plan helped to democratize mid-century modern style, combining attractive design with practical affordability. They were the first British manufacturer to introduce a complete matching home range, allowing customers to purchase pieces individually over time.
Early 1950’s G Plan collections, such as the Brandon range shown here, carried a stamp with both the G Plan and E. Gomme names.
