This Austrian glass factory, founded in 1839, produced some of the most iconic Art Nouveau pieces, becoming a benchmark for glass art internationally. The history of Loetz is characterized by a continuous pursuit of perfection and constant innovation in glassmaking techniques. Loetz master glassmakers experimented with various techniques, including intarsia, which involves inserting glass fragments into the molten glass mass. Their production is known for the iridescence of their works, a technique that imparts metallic and iridescent glassy reflections, creating highly evocative visual effects. Furthermore, the artifacts are made using the "Phänomen" technique, which involves applying metallic glass filaments to the surface of the glass, creating unique luminous effects.
