Originally designed for a general practitioner in The Hague, this desk offers a warm, inviting look that fits perfectly in both a home and work environment. The gently curved top in a friendly fan shape makes it a striking piece in any room. With a drawer cabinet on the left and a cabinet with a door on the right, the desk offers ample storage space. The concealed pull-out leaf on the right adds extra functionality.
The warm, mid-brown color of the pearwood veneer exudes a refined simplicity. Although the veneer is showing some cracks and wear after nearly 95 years, this piece deserves a new owner. This desk can easily be restored with new pearwood veneer or given a modern makeover with Marmoleum Walton Vintage Blue or the light Stucco color from Forbo. Let this beautiful piece enrich your interior and add a touch of history to your home or office. If this desk is in a living room, it almost looks like a sideboard from the side of the room because it has a niche at the front for books or objects.
