Product description
Authentic 1930s Bauhaus flush-mount ceiling light originating from Czechoslovakia. A strong example of interwar Central European Modernist lighting, the fixture combines a streamlined chrome-plated metal body with its original marked white opaline glass shade. Its restrained cylindrical silhouette and geometric construction reflect the functionalist principles associated with Bauhaus and early Modernist design. The substantial opaline glass softly diffuses the light, creating an even and atmospheric illumination. Its compact 12 cm (4.72 in) profile makes the fixture particularly suitable for rooms with lower ceilings, while its timeless combination of chrome and white glass works beautifully in both period and contemporary interiors. The original glass retains its period manufacturer’s mark. The chrome-plated components have been carefully repolished, and the electrical system has been renewed.
