A rare and highly decorative Dutch Witwerk cabinet from the 18th century, dating from the third quarter of the 18th century (circa 1750-1775).
This exceptional piece is executed in the original Delft Blue decoration, a beautiful and characteristic finish that imitates porcelain and was highly sought after in the Netherlands during that period. Such cabinets were manufactured by artisans associated with the Witwerkersgilde, a specialized guild known for creating refined painted finishes that imitated luxury materials such as Delftware and marble—a combination of craftsmanship and decorative artistry of a very high level.
The cabinet is crowned by an elegant arched cornice with five original vases and still retains the original working key, a beautiful and increasingly rare detail that enhances its authenticity.
Inside, the cabinet offers five shelves, making it both highly decorative and functional. Dimensions:
