This set of two Idearte wall lamps from the 1980s combines a distinct Art Deco aesthetic with the materiality of their own decade. The design stands out with its streamlined, sculptural form reminiscent of the classic torch shape, executed in an elegant combination of frosted glass and polished metal.
The fixtures are manufactured in Spain and consist of a chrome-plated metal base holding an elongated shade of frosted glass. The chrome details feature a flowing, almost aerodynamic line that reflects the light in a subtle way. Each lamp has a height of 35 centimeters and a width of 8 centimeters, giving them a slender and vertically oriented profile. The white and silver color scheme creates a neutral yet striking contrast.
The set is in good condition commensurate with its age and previous use. The glass shades are intact and the chrome has retained its original shine, while the back of the mounting plates shows the expected signs of age. These wall lamps come into their own perfectly in a hallway, on either side of a mirror, or as mood lighting in a living room. They fit seamlessly into interiors that embrace influences from the eighties or the Art Deco period.
