RARE GEOMETRIC WALL LIGHTS FROM DIJKSTRA LIGHTING - NETHERLANDS, 1960s
Striking sculptural design with a bold edge from the atomic era.
A striking example of Dutch modernist lighting, these rare geometric wall lamps were designed by Dijkstra Lighting in the 1960s. Made of folded white aluminum panels, each lamp features five interlocking zigzag modules that create a strong architectural silhouette - bold, graphic and unmistakably modern.
The lamps are equipped with fluorescent tubes (fluorescent) that produce a diffuse glow that enhances their sculptural presence. One lamp has a yellow-tinted fluorescent tube, while the other has a white tube. This demonstrates the subtle atmospheric variations that different light sources can produce.
Reminiscent of Atomic Age design, these lamps are equally at home in Mid - Century, Brutalist or contemporary interiors - functioning as illuminated wall sculptures as well as practical lighting solutions.
A rare opportunity to own a set of iconic Dutch design - visually bold, functionally sophisticated and rarely seen on the market.
There are 2 lamps available. Price is for 1 lamp.
In very good, original condition, both lamps are identical in form. A smaller three-module version is also available, offering additional versatility for creating dynamic arrangements or scaling across multiple spaces.
