The timeless Throw-Away armchair was designed by Willie Landels for manufacturer Zanotta .
Willie Landels is a Scottish-Italian designer who could be found regularly in London's jet-set circles in the 1950s. In 1965 he created his Throw-Away line for the Italian design manufacturer Zanotta , to which this Throw-Away armchair also belongs.
The name Throw-Away does not indicate waste, but a trend to make furniture from cheap foam rubber and simple fabrics and keep it affordable for everyone. This two-seater sofa does indeed have a foam padding made of high-quality polyurethane foam. First of all, this foam is particularly resilient and only in those places where you apply pressure. In addition, polyurethane foam is naturally dimensionally stable, so even if you spend a few hours a day on your comfortable sofa, it will retain its sleek shape for many years. This armchair is available in an anthracite washable fabric and is also suitable for placing on a veranda. It has a length of 150 cm. The height is 61 cm and the seat depth of 75 cm and the slightly low seat height of 38 cm ensure that you automatically lean back.
