Antique piece made by Jomouth nomads east of the Caspian Sea for their own use. These kilims were laid out in front or inside the tent to live on. Dense weave in soumack technique, the front is different from the back in this technique. flawless, no holes or odors, cool edges and headboards. Vegetable dyes used to dye the wool, the red is from the Madder plant. These rugs are now long gone from being made. At least 80 years old.
