DESCRIPTION:
A unique Mid - Century chandelier by the Itilian brand Sciolari. This chandelier consists of a tiered downward hanging series of 24 brass tubes where the end consists of glass murano spheres. In the center of the lamp are 6, E14 fittings that shine light through this spectacle of distorting glass and reflective brass. The whole thing hangs from a brass plate that can be adjusted in height by simply adjusting down the ring on the tube. In short, a very unique lamp for the lover of Itilian mjd century design.
ABOUT GAETANO SCIOLARI:
In 1870, A. Sciolari's father opened a store outlet in Piazza Navova in Rome. This specialized in designing and making oil and gas lamps. Angelo Sciolari later took over the business in 1892 and called it "Sciolari Illuminazione di Roma. Sciolari then collaborated with the Venetian crystal glassworks Barovier & Toso from the famous Murano icefield in Venice. It was Angelo Gaetano Sciolari who was able to take the family and previously local lighting business to a much higher level from 1950. A. Gaetano Sciolari won a decisive design competition in 1954 with his new lighting designs. During the 1970s, there was now a lot of Hollywood watching. Thus, partly due to his innovative and futuristic, yet elegant and refined design, Sciolari became the first Italian lighting manufacturer on the American market in those 70s. Today his creations from the glory years, are pieces of great value among Mid - Century design lovers.

Good condition, all the glasses are still in perfect condition. The brass has its spots and scratches belonging to its age. There are 2 hooks replaced with metal wire.
