Large candlestick made of hand-hammered brass, made in East Germany around 1950.
Very good condition - age patina and slight signs of use.
Timeless, simple elegance.
Alfred Schäftner (1902-1970), he was a German gold and silversmith, in 1927 he was called to the Bauhaus-Dessau as a foreman of the metal workshop
at the Bauhaus-Dessau.
Workshop signature "AS" and "handwork".
