Like his earlier Panton chair and the S chair, System 1-2-3's chairs have no hind legs. System 1-2-3 consists of a series of design chairs, which all have the same shape, but by combining mainly with the base, the different chairs can be used for different purposes. For example, there is a chair with a fixed foot. This can be used in a sitting area. There is also a chair with castors. This could be used as an office chair. There are also models with armrests. Finally, you can also attach some models to each other, so that you can create a kind of cinema setup. Verner Panton designed the series in 1973. The System 1-2-3 chairs are sold by Fritz Hansen.
