Product description
Iconic pair of lounge chairs in excellent condition. Designed by Paul Geoffroy and manufactured by Uginox in the 1970s in France. Striking design composed of curved stainless steel frames with beautifully shaped cushions. The cushions are reupholstered in a natural camel nubuck leather, creating a beautiful contrast with the cool and slick brushed stainless steel. The eye-catching silhouette is defined by the tilted C-shaped seat, which rests on a cross-shaped base; the backward-angled seating part emphasizes the aerodynamic feel. In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the tilted curved backrest features a sturdy springback function, providing great comfort in combination with the high-resilience cushions. These specific chairs are fully restored, the cushions were professionally reupholstered with a natural high quality leather and the stainless steel frames were fully polished. Over the course of his career, Paul Geoffroy has worked on numerous interior, furniture, and product design projects for brands such as L'Oréal, Lancôme, Hermès, Peugeot, and Renault. He is known for his minimalist, functionalist approach and his ability to create elegant, timeless designs. He founded his own design agency, Paul Geoffroy Design, in Paris. Over the years, he has won numerous awards for his work, including the Prix National de la Création Industrielle and the Prix du Design de la Ville de Paris. Paul Geoffroy died in 2009, leaving behind an important legacy in the world of French design. The work of Paul Geoffroy can be compared to that of Maria Pergay, Pierre Folie edition Jacques Charpentier, Raphael, François Monnet for Kappa, and Xavier Feal.
