The Thonet S64 Armchair by German designer Marcel Breuer is one of the first "Freischwinger" models in furniture history. They were first used in 1927 in the "Weißenhofsiedlung," a residential district in Stuttgart, Germany. The design is a response to the tubular steel construction developed by Mart Stam, which was completely innovative in the 1920s. Chair comes from our refurbished collection and is shipped clean.
