Product description
Rare and sumptuous Napoleon III style coffee table in Boulle marquetry and gilded bronzes of French origin. The table is entirely decorated with the precious marquetry technique known as Boulle marquetry. The ebonized wood structure is supported by four sinuous cabriole legs, which give the piece a harmonious lightness. The sumptuousness of the table is accentuated by rich gilded bronze applications; these high-quality finishes decorate the corners and joints of the legs, embellishing the design with raised scrolls. Inside is a cursive signature "Vedder a Paris". The interior of the cabinet reveals a front mirror and compartments in the table top. Dimensions: 72(h) x 60x40 cm. Good overall condition. It has scratches, stains and flaws on the surface, due to normal wear over time. Some parts are missing, as shown in the photographs.
