Product description
RARE SET OF FOUR ‘DORA’ ROCK LAMPS BY ANDRÉ CAZENAVE FOR ROLAND JAMOIS, 1960s–1970s
This exceptional set of four luminous ‘Dora’ rock lamps was designed by André Cazenave in the 1960s and produced by Roland Jamois. While this iconic design was also manufactured by Atelier A, Singleton, Disderot, and Tecta, this particular set—featuring four different sizes, one still bearing the original label—comes from the Roland Jamois production line.
Each lamp is handcrafted from epoxy and fiberglass and coated with fine marble granulate, giving it a tactile, stone-like texture and a unique, organic appearance. No two are identical. Their soft, natural forms reflect Cazenave’s vision of bringing the outdoors into interior spaces, seamlessly blending sculpture with functional lighting.
When illuminated, the lamps cast a gentle, diffused glow reminiscent of moonlight, creating a calm and atmospheric presence. The Dora lamp is one of Cazenave’s most iconic works—an object where form and light become one.
Larger Dora lamps are particularly rare, and finding a complete, four-size set in such pristine condition is exceptional.
An icon of 1960s French design, these lamps are highly sought after—capturing the poetic intersection of nature, art, and light.
This set is in excellent original condition, with no cracks, no damage to the marble granulate, and fully functional screw-fitting bulb holders.
