Product description
For sale is an antique chair with armrests made of bent beechwood, also known as bentwood, with beautiful carved ornamentation. It was manufactured by the traditional Bohemian manufacturer Fischel in Czechoslovakia. The chair's design is based on a Thonet design from around the 1890s. The exact date of manufacture is unknown, but it falls between the first decade of the 20th century and approximately 1929, as all chairs of this type were produced by Fischel during this period. The chair has a very attractive, slightly cherry-colored vintage patina and is a real eye-catcher, exuding aura, elegance, and personality even on its own in a corner of a room or in a hallway. The dimensions are: backrest height 80.5 cm, armrest width at the widest point 66 cm, seat diameter 50 cm, seat height 47 cm. The chair is in good to very good condition for its age and may require minor adjustments to ensure stability.
