An exceptional painting depicting a Mediterranean seascape. The two fishing boats in the center of the composition stand out. In the far distance, a village with a small port, characteristic of coastal areas, can be seen. The use of different brushstrokes is notable, as in some areas the brushstrokes are shorter and more material, generating different textures depending on the amount of pigment used. The chromatic range is composed of earthy and warm colors. The work moves between Impressionism and Post-Impressionism, where artists no longer focus on precise details, but rather the way they treat light becomes the protagonist. In this case, the pinkish color of the sky suggests dawn. Signed in the lower right corner with the words "L. Loni," there is also a stamp on the back from the French frame workshop "Chiesa.
