Unique Danish storage cabinet by Salin from the 1960s.
Beautiful and rare storage furniture designed and manufactured by Salin in Denmark in the 1960s. Originally intended as a luxury sewing chest, this chest combines functionality with a sleek, timeless design. Beautiful to combine in a midcentury, Japandi or modern interior.
The chest is made entirely of solid teak and leather, with refined details such as the organically rounded corners and visible finger joints, highlighting artisan craftsmanship. The original leather strap holds the wooden flap in the correct position when open, while invisible casters allow for easy movement of the furniture.
Inside, the chest offers a surprising amount of storage space, including an original wooden inlay tray. This tray, equipped with the same finger joints, can be smoothly pushed aside or removed entirely for added convenience. The wooden hinges on the inside complete the design and provide a stylish look.
We have carefully cleaned the furniture and provided the wood and leather with proper care. Ready for immediate use and an eye-catcher in any interior.
