Product description
TOP-DESIGNCLASSIX™ "Design classics, design and vintage furniture as new" For sale is a completely restored, original 70s serving trolley in almost new condition. Object: Serving trolley / tea trolley Description: solid hardwood frame with 3 tapered turned columns and integrated classic chrome furniture castors; form-fitting, removable tray with raised edge; lower shelf firmly attached to the frame Designer: Hans Bolling, Denmark (attributed) Hans Bolling studied at the Royal Danish Art Academy in Copenhagen. In addition to numerous buildings, he also designed furniture and children's toys. Material: Lacquered hardwood Color tone: opaque white (not toothpaste white) Dimensions: Approx. W: 60cm; D: 60cm; H: 60cm; Condition: The serving trolley has been professionally and completely restored. It is technically and visually in excellent condition and looks like new! Roughly speaking, the only difference to a new piece of furniture are actually only slight rolling marks on the castors. Due to its construction, this characteristic occurs after a short time. The table comes from the very well-kept home of an elderly lady, which was furnished with fine design classics and high-quality furniture. It should be noted that this was not a cheap amateur paint job with a brush or roller and DIY store materials, but an elaborate professional spray paint job with traditional materials as used in the 60s and 70s. Please bear in mind that the quibbles of other suppliers such as "newly painted" are by no means synonymous with "spray-painted". In most cases, this means the typical "pasting over" with a brush and roller and the associated unsightly properties such as clearly visible brushstrokes or the well-known "orange peel effect". You can recognize this immediately if you look at the furniture surfaces in question from the side against the light. If in doubt, ask questions about the type and method of lacquering or, even better, ask for backlit photos of the "newly lacquered" surfaces!
