Very rare chair designed by Marco Zanuso for Arflex in the 50's. This lounge chair is very comfortable and classically elegant. This chair has been completely restored and reupholstered with a high quality wool Carlucci Ascendent bouclé fabric, color Ivory.
Beautiful appearance and due to the soft fabric a wonderful seat.

During his career, Zanuso experimented with new materials and techniques. He designed streamlined but functional products for industrial production. Sometimes the possibilities of existing products were redefined.
Marco Zanuso was one of the most important champions of modern Italian design. There are few products for which he did not create designs during his long career. Throughout his career, Zanuso was fascinated by modern technology.
He used the vast possibilities of industrial production by creating a number of product series with decidedly modern design at a time when most of Italian manufacturing was still dominated by traditional crafts.
For Zanuso, the goal of design was not to make products beautiful, but to create useful, clearly defined objects, an approach that reflects the fact that he was a true industrial designer.
