Known as the "Cylindus," this 1970s ceiling lamp features a striking two-tone design made of matte, thick plastic. It casts a warm, soft orange decorative glow while delivering excellent downward illumination - perfect for cozy, ambient lighting. This Scandinavian modern lighting object is a rare deep orange version, an outlier from the many color variations produced in the 1970s. The Cylindus pendant lamp is exceptionally well built and emits a beautiful, even glow with just one bulb.
Brothers Uno & Östen Kristiansson were pioneers in Swedish modernist lighting, and their designs remain highly sought after by collectors and lovers of retro and mid-century lighting.
