Product description
This "loop" armchair was created by Swiss designer Willy Guhl in the 1950s for the eternit group. It is made from a ribbon of eternit, a fibrous-textured cement material, folded into a loop. Unique in its form, this armchair will enhance any outdoor setting and is one of the great classics of twentieth-century design furniture. In 1951, Eternity AG was looking to collaborate with outdoor designers and asked Willy Guhl and his students to work on new plant troughs. Eternit, developed for the manufacture of roofs and pipes, a stable product with a fibrous texture resistant to tensile strength, fracture and climatic variations, which contains 10% asbestos. Original condition, repainted, with a few cracks visible on one of the pieces. Dimensions: h: 55 w: 54 d: 90.
As this is outdoor furniture, it shows signs of wear and erosion.
