It has been restored and reupholstered by our professional refurbishing team in Czechia according to the original process.

More about the designer:
Between 1905 and 1909 Vanek studied at the industrial school for wood processing, then, in 1911 he lived in Germany, where he worked in furniture workshops in Munich, Stuttgart and Heilbronn. Vanek also worked with architects such as Bruno Paul. In 1911 he took over his father’s workshop.
In 1925, he founded the Standard company, which designed furniture for the iconic 1930s Tugendhat villa.
