Jean Prouvé S.C.A.L. daybed from the 1950s (the metal frame is in good, original, unrestored condition with the usual signs of use). The cotton mattress and headrest were manufactured later. This is the version without the Charlotte Perriand-made wooden borders and retractable wooden top/tray. I obtained this bed years ago through an official French auction house. Connoisseurs can see from the legs with the original oak on the bottom of the metal legs, the suspension and the patina of the unrestored/overpainted metal that the daybed is in completely original condition.
