At the beginning of his career as a silversmith, he gained fame primarily for his Renaissance jewelry, which was even worn by Queen Olga of Württemberg and soon earned him the nickname "Renaissance Bauer."
The company is still in operation today and has established an international reputation in the Swabian silversmithing scene.
