Swedish floor lamp designed by Hans-Agne Jakobsson in the 1960s. This was manufactured in Hans-Agne Jakobsson AB (Markaryd), the production company founded by the designer himself.
This stylish lamp in brass has 5 glass globes with a golden glow that provide a beautiful light distribution. Due to the timeless design, this lamp fits in many different types of interiors, both vintage and modern.
The Swedish interior designer and furniture designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson (1919-2009) was mainly active between the 1950s and 1970s, the golden age of Scandinavian design.
Although he designed and produced various types of furniture, his lighting gained more international attention. He liked to experiment with a wide range of materials and (organic) forms. As a result, he had a deep understanding of lighting effects which is reflected in his many designs.The lamp is in beautiful vintage condition with light signs of wear that are typical of its age, such as 1 small dent on the foot and light scratches here and there that are not noticeable.
