The iconic Gravity™ Balans armchair by Peter Opsvik for Stokke (Varier), Norway, dates back to the 1980s and is an exceptionally rare find. This futuristic design is easily recognizable and makes the chair a unique work of art.
Designed to enable both relaxation and productivity, the Gravity Balance Chair by Stokke offers four different positions. It can be used 'kneeling' at a desk, in an upright position for reading, slightly reclined for relaxing and reading and in a fully reclined position for a floating sensation. This versatility promotes circulation in the legs and provides a unique comfort for working, reading or sleeping. The timeless design and cotton material make it particularly comfortable for everyday use. The headrest is adjustable and can be removed for washing.
