Franz BODNER, born in 1966 in Klagenfurt (Austria).
He spent his childhood in Austria and trained as an art and ornamental blacksmith and metal designer. From about 1990 he has been active as a painter and since 1995 he lives and works in the Netherlands (Hoofddorp). With his paintings, sculptures and graphics, Franz Bodner wants to draw attention to the valuable and precisely small things and moments in life. His characteristic visual language in bright colors makes Bodners' 'own' world visible. However, these cheerful paintings and graphics, populated by apparently naive figures, also have a socially critical note. He calls his art a push to simply reflect on the essence of life again.
