A pair of rosewood bedside tables with brass details are part of the original furnishings designed between 1936 and 1938 for the apartment of engineer Orazi in Milan, based on a design by architect Renzo Zavanella. The interior design project, created in collaboration with artist Lucio Fontana, is a rare example of a dialogue between minimal design and sculptural research, in which Zavanella combines technological linearity with informal suggestions, as evidenced by Fontana's "Signorina sede" (Seated Lady), also in the apartment. The bedside tables reflect the elegance and innovation of the project, combining noble materials with a simple refinement. In good condition, they show minor signs of aging, visible in the photographs. Reference bibliography: Renzo Zavanella 1900-1988.
