Cité armchair by Jean Prouvé (1930), published by Tecta in the 1980s. Original Vitra reissue. The Cité armchair is one of the French designer and engineer's earliest masterpieces. Prouvé himself used this comfortable, generous armchair in his living room, with its powder-coated steel glides and armrests formed by leather straps. Legs: in folded sheet steel, finished in smooth Japanese Red epoxy. Upholstery: seat and back covered in canary-yellow Hola fabric and height-adjustable headrest cushion in canary-yellow polyurethane foam. Felt glides for hard floors. Dimensions: H84 x W68 x D96, Seat height: 335 mm.
