This wooden chair by Italian designer Vico Magistretti (born 1920) dates from 1959. It was originally designed for the restaurant of a golf club in Italy called Carimate. It is easily recognizable by the thickened legs. It is upholstered with rushes. The chair was marketed by both Comi and Artemide (in Italy and the UK) and Cassina (in Europe from 1962). To commemorate Vico Magistretti's 100th birthday in 2020, Fritz Hansen released a new version of the chair with minor changes to the backrest, seat height, and upholstery material. This older model has a dark wood finish and is in good vintage condition with some minor signs of wear.
Dimensions: H74cm x W57cm x D44cm
Some traces of use on the stain.
