During this period, he completed seven murals, many of which depict damaged buildings and rubble caused by Russian airstrikes. Ukraine released postage stamps featuring one of Banksy’s seven murals, depicting a child defeating a Putin-like figure in a judo match. In a mural in the Ukrainian town of Borodyanka, a judo fight takes place. In the artwork, a young boy throws an older man to the ground. The man’s black belt expertise posed no obstacle to the boy’s strength and determination. The scene, presumably symbolising the defeat of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a black belt in judo, is one of the many murals created by the British artist Banksy in the war‑torn country.
