The Fritz Hansen Series 7 Office Chair with Armrest is a design by Arne Jacobsen. The Series 7 Chair, designed in 1955, is extremely popular and it is therefore not surprising that it is Fritz Hansen 's best-selling chair. When designing the Series 7, Jacobsen drew inspiration from the plywood chair of Charles and Ray Eames, who were the first to successfully experiment with bending plywood into a three-dimensional model. Jacobsen has used this technique to give a graceful and recognizable shape to the seat shell.
