Fog & Mørup was founded in 1904 by Ansgar Fog and Erik Mørup in Aarhus, Denmark, initially as an ironmongery warehouse before transitioning to specialized lighting production. The company moved to Copenhagen in 1906 and opened a dedicated lighting factory in 1913, eventually becoming synonymous with high-quality Danish modern lighting.
