Vintage gesigneerde Togatta Kokeshi. Deze specifieke kokeshi sluit aan bij de esthetiek van de Togatta-streek (遠刈田系), een van de traditionele kokeshi-stromingen uit de prefectuur Miyagi in de Tōhoku-regio. De Togatta-stijl ontstond in de hotspring-stad (onsen) Togatta, gelegen aan de voet van de Zao-bergen. Kokeshi's uit dit gebied staan bekend om hun verfijnde, elegante uitstraling. Ze hebben doorgaans een wat slanker of subtiel gevormd lichaam, beschilderd met florale patronen zoals chrysanten of pruimenbloesems, en een karakteristieke beschildering op het hoofd. Traditionele kokeshi (dentō kokeshi) worden ingedeeld in zo'n tien verschillende stijlen die elk hun eigen streek en kenmerken hebben. Het verschil met andere stijlen zit met name in de vorm en de beschildering. Togatta-poppen hebben vaak rode stralen of een kroontje van streepjes op de bovenkant van hun hoofd, en sierlijke, zwarte haarlokken die het gezicht omkaderen. Bij stijlen zoals Naruko zie je bijvoorbeeld vaak dat het hoofd kan piepen of dat de pop een wat rondere, eenvoudigere hoofdbeschildering heeft. Togatta-poppen hebben doorgaans een vriendelijke, serene blik met verfijnde ogen en dunne wenkbrauwen. Andere stijlen (zoals Kijiyama of Tsugaru) kunnen juist veel soberder of juist heel expressief en minimalistisch zijn getekend. Veel traditionele stijlen (zoals Hijiori of Yajirō) gebruiken felle concentrische cirkels of banden op het lichaam. Togatta staat er daarentegen juist om bekend dat het lichaam vaak prachtig versierd is met bloemmotieven (zoals chrysanten) die door de meester met de hand zijn aangebracht. De hoogte is 18 cm. De signatuur van de maker staat op de onderkant, voor de conditie bekijk de foto's. Let op: de kokeshi-poppen zijn niet nieuw, dus er zullen altijd in meer of mindere mate krassen, verkleuringen en/of scheurtjes aanwezig zijn. Vintage signed Togatta Kokeshi. This specific kokeshi aligns with the aesthetic of the Togatta region (遠刈田系), one of the traditional kokeshi styles from Miyagi Prefecture in the Tōhoku region. The Togatta style originated in the hot spring town (onsen) Togatta, located at the foot of the Zao Mountains. Kokeshis from this area are known for their refined, elegant appearance. They typically feature a somewhat slimmer or subtly shaped body, painted with floral patterns such as chrysanthemums or plum blossoms, and characteristic head painting. Traditional kokeshi (dentō kokeshi) are classified into about ten different styles, each with its own region and characteristics. The difference from other styles lies primarily in the shape and the painting. Togatta dolls often feature red rays or a crown of stripes on the top of their heads, and graceful black locks of hair framing the face. In styles such as Naruko, for instance, you often see that the head can peek out or that the doll has somewhat rounder, simpler head painting. Togatta dolls generally have a friendly, serene look with refined eyes and thin eyebrows. Other styles (such as Kijiyama or Tsugaru) can be drawn much more austere or, conversely, very expressive and minimalist. Many traditional styles (such as Hijiori or Yajirō) use bright concentric circles or bands on the body. Togatta, on the other hand, is known for the fact that the body is often beautifully decorated with floral motifs (such as chrysanthemums) applied by hand by the master. The height is 18 cm. The maker's signature is on the bottom; please view the photos for the condition. Please note: the kokeshi dolls are not new, so there will always be scratches, discoloration, and/or cracks to a greater or lesser extent.
