Beautiful set of two antique porcelain candleholders by Villeroy & Boch Mettlach, featuring the highly sought-after Burgenland blue-on-cream transferware décor. It depicts idyllic countryside and garden scenes, framed by roses and intricate botanical motifs.
Stamped underneath with the “V&B M” mark and “Made in Germany Saar”, indicating production at the Mettlach factory in the Saar region between 1913 and 1947. The “M” denotes Mettlach, one of Villeroy & Boch’s most renowned production sites.
