Productomschrijving
This elegant bowl, model “Oreon,” was produced by Lausitzer Glaswerke, a prominent German glass manufacturer established in the 19th century and known for its high-quality pressed and cut glassware. Based in the Lausitz (Lusatia) region, the company became especially well-regarded for combining traditional craftsmanship with modern design during the early 20th century.
The bowl features a radiant green glass with a sculptural pattern of elongated, almond-shaped motifs arranged in symmetrical repetition around the body and base. Its scalloped rim and trio of curled feet give it a graceful, elevated form, while the detailed starburst pattern on the bottom reflects the influence of the Art Deco movement.
A fine example of decorative glassware from Central Europe, the “Oreon” bowl represents the fusion of functional design and artistic expression typical of Lausitzer Glaswerke’s production during the Art Deco era.
