A beautiful set of four vintage Model 75 dining chairs by Niels Otto Møller for J.L. Møllers Møbelfabrik, made in Denmark. The Model 75 is one of Møller’s best-known chair designs and is widely documented as dating to 1954. The model is especially admired for the way it distils Danish modern design down to its essentials: a sculpted teak backrest, softly tapering legs, and a handwoven paper cord seat that brings warmth and texture without adding visual weight. Official J.L. Møller material also places the company’s roots in Aarhus, founded in 1944 by master cabinetmaker Niels Otto Møller, with craftsmanship and refined simplicity remaining central to the brand’s identity.
What makes the Model 75 so enduring is its balance of restraint and softness.
