This elongated console table from the early 1960s, was manufactured by the German manufacturer E.M.Ü. The first thing that catches the eye is the beautiful, tiger-patterned rosewood grain. This seamlessly flows into every surface, creating a harmonious whole. The table features two extendable tops, beneath which lies a hidden shelf. This is particularly useful for those who don't like to have things lying around – it can easily accommodate the morning newspaper, magazines, or those perpetually lost TV remote controls. Even greater functionality is provided by a crank-operated lifting system, which allows for a quick and easy conversion to a 71 cm high dining table. The table is substantial, yet thanks to its proportional dimensions, it doesn't feel heavy. A white line runs along the tops, further emphasizing the design's modernist character. The legs are finished in nickel-plated aluminum. This is a solid piece, refined down to the smallest detail. This is evidenced by separate markings on each component: a paper label under the tabletop, markings and numbering on the metal undersides of the legs, and a signed crank.
The table is in original vintage condition with normal signs of wear. It has minor scratches, abrasions, and fading on the top.
