This lovely jug is from village in Transylvania known for its hand painted, handmade pottery. The small village is Korond (Hungarian) or Corund (Romanian), and their pottery making goes back to the 1600s.
While the village is in Romania, it is actually mostly inhabited by Ethnic Hungarians.

Height: 17 cm
It is in a good vintage condition. The glaze is worn.
