With their sculptural shell-shaped silhouette and impressive high backs, these swivel lounge chairs embody the elegance of Scandinavian Modern design. Their striking form and comfortable proportions make them a standout addition to any vintage interior.
This pair of lounge chairs was produced by UP Závody Rousínov in former Czechoslovakia during the 1960s. Featuring a distinctive high-back design, curved shell construction, and swivel aluminum bases, the chairs reflect the innovative furniture design of the era. Similar examples have been attributed to UP Závody Rousínov, making them a noteworthy example of Czechoslovak modernism.
The chairs are upholstered in leather and supported by aluminum swivel bases. They remain in very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age and use consistent with their history. The structure is sound and the overall presentation is well preserved.
