Description du produit
Mid-century, vintage, signed, framed, pencil sketch / illustration / fashion design drawing, by French fashion artist, Berthe Duquaine, circa 1950's.
Piece features a very sleek fashion design done in pencil, of a female silhouette, wearing a blue and white checkered dress with hues of grey, typical of the epoch, called "Robe Ecossaise", referring to a Scottish, tartan dress pattern and style, which is written on the upper, right hand corner (see photos.) She is also wearing black gloves and shoes, adding elegance to her look.
It is signed at the back of the drawing, on the bottom, right-hand corner hand corner (see photo), and surrounded by a white matte, with chamfered edging, behind clean glass, inside of a grey wooden frame with ridges (see photos.)
This piece is in overall very good, original and vintage condition, as it has been well-preserved over the years. Very light signs of age commensurate with time, on the paper. No tears or rips (see photos.) Some light marks, signs of age and time on the matte (see photos), and some minuscule signs of age over time, on the glass, as is to be expected for a piece of this age. No cracks or chips (see photos.) The frame has some very light marks, signs of age and previous use commensurate with time, as well as a patina of time, on the front, sides, edges and back, that only adds to the overall charm of the piece. (see photos.) At the back of the frame, there is an eye hook, so it can be easily mounted onto a wall (see photos.)
All photos taken in natural, indoor light, so colors may vary, based upon brightness, reflections, angles and perspective in which they are viewed.
