A striking and elegant example of British mid-century design, this teak extending oval dining table was designed by Victor Wilkins for G-Plan’s iconic Fresco range in the 1960s. Beautifully crafted with sleek Danish design influences, it’s a timeless centrepiece for any dining space. Crafted from rich teak with striking afromosia edging for visual depth and contrast. Oval design with a cleverly integrated fold-out leaf, extending to comfortably seat 6–8 people. Features a distinctive trestle-style base with gently curved legs, offering both stability and elegant silhouette. A standout piece from G-Plan, one of the UK’s most celebrated mid-century furniture manufacturers.
G-Plan was launched in 1953 by E. Gomme Ltd in High Wycombe, England. Known for its sleek, modern style and exceptional craftsmanship, G-Plan brought Scandinavian-inspired design to British homes in the post-war era. Designers like Victor Wilkins and Ib Kofod-Larsen helped shape iconic collections such as the Fresco range, using quality teak, afromosia, and rosewood. G-Plan’s modular, durable furniture made stylish living accessible and remains highly sought-after today for its timeless mid-century appeal. Victor Wilkins was a British designer best known for his work with G-Plan in the 1960s. He created the iconic Fresco range, blending elegant Scandinavian influences with British craftsmanship.
