A remarkable example of Italian architectural furniture from the 1970s, this dining suite is a tribute to the era’s focus on mechanical honesty and playful geometry, often associated with the work of Vico Magistretti. The set is defined by its oversized solid wood screw-thread system, which provides a seamless height adjustment for the circular glass-top table and each of the four accompanying stools.
The palette of primary colors used for the technical joints contrasts beautifully with the organic warmth of the wooden frame, a signature characteristic of high-end Italian Postmodernism. This set represents a fusion of traditional woodworking and the radical "Pop" aesthetic of the late 20th century.
Condition Report:
The suite is in good vintage condition with all mechanical threads operating smoothly. A visible crack is present in the table’s wooden pedestal; however, it remains structurally sound and entirely robust for daily use. The original finishes and glass top show minor signs of wear consistent with a piece of this vintage.
