Founded in 1825, Holmegaards Glasværk is Denmark’s oldest and most renowned glass manufactory and a cornerstone of Scandinavian glass and crystal production. From the 19th century onward, Holmegaard produced both everyday glassware and refined tableware, earning a reputation for exceptional clarity, craftsmanship, and durability.
By the early 20th century — particularly during the 1920s — Holmegaard had become a leading name in European glass and crystal design, successfully bridging traditional handcraft with emerging modern ideals.
