Arteluce was founded in 1939 by the Italian Gino Sarfatti and quickly established itself as a successful lighting brand with a vision. Sarfatti is very involved in material research, technique and production and has designed more than 400 lamps in his lifetime. The lamps are especially loved because of the minimalist design, which still has an expressive look and the unique materials that were used. Gino Sarfatti was the first to use halogen lamps in luminaires and was dedicated to optimizing his lamps in every detail. From the socket, to the plug and the wiring, Sarfatti was on top of it.
